Important Days Ahead
Humans tend to categorize things by large or small, bright or dull, special or ordinary, and so on. For instance, we categorize holidays as special with the implication that other days have nothing going for them.
We need to reorient our thinking. Now, I'm not saying that we shouldn't celebrate holidays. Far from it. I'm saying we should celebrate the importance of every day.
Think about it. There is no such thing as an unimportant day
Babies will be born...today. An entrepreneur will create a dream organization...today. Birds and butterflies will spread joy, fly north or south...today.
Somewhere old wounds heal, new friendships begin. A puppy finds a master...a mother whispers secrets to a wide-eyed child...sunshine follows the clouds...today!
What can you do to make this an important day for yourself or someone you care about?
This is one very important day for me. What a day to wish you the joys and blessings of the holiday season. So, we wish it...real hard!
May all the days of your New Year continue to be very important days. Happy Holidays, Merry Christmas, Happy Hannukah...and a prosperous New Year.

Coach Pat Boyd's Tips
You may be called upon during the holidays to deliver a toast. Here are a few tips and a couple of toasts to get you ready.
You know how much we stress preparation and practice, so it should come as no surprise that our top tip is: be prepared. Know the room and the audience ahead of time. Have some material, appropriate to the occasion and audience, ready to go. To help you prepare, I have provided a couple of toasts below, and a link to some other toasts .
Deliver with authority. Stand up, speak slowly, clearly and loudly so that you will be heard and understood above the typical holiday party din. Finally, be brief and be seated.
Toasts:
Here's Champagne to our real friends and real pain to our sham friends.
There are good ships, and there are wood ships, the ships that sail the sea, but the best ships are friendships and may they always be.
