Americans spend almost as much in November and December for holiday gifts alone than they do all year for charity. That's why Hoover ink has developed Holiday For Charity.

How You Can Get Involved
It's simple for individuals to participate: just tell your friends and family members to donate to charity instead of buying you gifts. The giver receives a tax deduction, and you get that warm feeling from helping someone less fortunate.

Or, you can take gifts you receive, place them for sale on eBay's GivingWorks, http://pages.ebay.com/givingworks/, and donate your proceeds to the charity of your choice. You also can help spread the word by:
  1. telling your friends about the program
  2. writing letters to the editor of your local newspaper promoting the program
  3. announcing it at professional and civic organizations to which you belong
Let's do something for our fellow man. After all, how many more sweaters do you really need?
